Change Control Manager

Location: Johannesburg

Salary: Market related
Duration: 6 month contract

Lead transformational change in smart learning spaces across a dynamic academic landscape.

Is this you?

You’re a natural facilitator with a passion for people-centred change. You thrive in stakeholder-rich environments and are at your best when managing diverse perspectives and navigating organisational complexity. Your communication is clear and persuasive, and your ability to manage resistance with empathy sets you apart. If you’re driven by the challenge of implementing meaningful change in higher education, this could be your next step.

What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

You’ll lead the change management effort for a multi-campus technology rollout focused on smart classroom environments. From conducting stakeholder assessments and readiness analyses to developing structured change control processes, your work will ensure seamless adoption across academic and technical teams. You’ll design and implement training programmes, coordinate communications, report on adoption progress, and mitigate resistance risks—all while aligning with a formal waterfall methodology and working closely with senior leadership.

Where you’ll be doing it

Our client is a well-regarded institution operating at the forefront of educational innovation, with a strong commitment to digital transformation and student success. Known for its collaborative environment and impactful initiatives, the organisation offers a chance to be part of a meaningful project that supports academic excellence and modern learning environments.

What you’ll need

You hold a degree in Change Management, Education Technology, ICT, or a related field, paired with at least five years’ experience in large-scale, tech-driven change projects. You’re confident in using methodologies like ADKAR, Prosci, or Kotter, and ideally have experience in the higher education sector. A Change Management certification is essential, along with a track record in facilitating training and stakeholder engagement. Experience with smart classrooms and 4IR technologies is essential.

What you’ll get

A high-impact role on a transformative academic project, working with forward-thinking leaders. You’ll gain experience across campuses, build relationships at every level, and play a pivotal role in reshaping the learning environment for thousands of students and faculty.
