Contact details on CVs

Add contact details on CVs!!

Lately, I’ve noticed a surprising trend — CVs coming through with no contact details at all.

It seems there’s a new template doing the rounds that leaves off phone numbers and email addresses… and while it might look sleek, it’s doing candidates no favours.

Here’s why that’s a problem:

✅ Sure, you’re sending your CV from your email — but once it’s in the system, it may be uploaded into recruitment software, forwarded to hiring managers, or bundled with other applications. If your contact details aren’t visible, you risk being overlooked.

✅ When recruiters or hiring managers are scanning through a shortlist and need to move quickly, they’ll naturally reach out to the person who’s easiest to contact. If your details aren’t front and centre, you could be skipped — even if your CV is solid.

✅ The fix? Keep it simple and accessible. Add your phone number and email on every page of your CV. A header or footer does the trick nicely.

Job hunting is already competitive.

Don’t let a tiny oversight stand between you and your next big opportunity.
